Andy Chaffin is a mixed media artist originally from Taos, New Mexico. His work delves into the struggles and complexities of navigating life as a transgender individual within the goth subculture, especially in a society that often marginalizes both identities. Through a range of mediums—oil and gouache painting, digital illustration, charcoal, chalk pastel, and colored pencil—Andy explores themes of transformation, love, and the inherent beauty found within personal and cultural defiance. Currently pursuing a BFA at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, he aspires to continue his artistic journey by obtaining a master’s degree in character illustration and game design.
